On a day-to-day basis, you are receiving and experiencing life based on the influences that have informed your body, mind, and core essence of self from conception. Your attitudes, beliefs, culture, and family structure weave a tapestry of connecting these informational webs of life.
These webs serve a purpose. They allow you to receive nurture, to understand the way the world works, and give structure and meaning beginning even at the most formative stages of development, in your mother’s womb.
This information is passed through the embryonic fluid, through the vibration of sound and tone of your mother’s voice, her stress levels, her preferences for food. and her hormonal responses to the world around her. In Annie Murphy Paul‘s book, Origins: How the Nine Months Before Birth Shape the Rest of Our Lives, she details the research evidence that proves that learning begins earlier than you might think. This TED Talk gives information about pre-natal development, and what babies learn before they are born.
In addition to this information, you are also accessing the generational line of culture, beliefs, and health paradigms of your ancestral line in the womb. Your mother developed in your grandmother’s womb. Both your father and mother were fertilized eggs joined by the spark of life created by the union of the egg and sperm of their parents, and so on.
For this reason, it is vital to acknowledge the influence of generational as well as pre-natal information in your experience of life today.
Making Change in Your Time
The world is rapidly changing with significant requirements for flexibility, resilience, and co-creation culturally, economically, and environmentally. It is a different life than that of your grandparents or even your parents. Yet there are lessons to be learned from your ancestral line and your life experiences. This information is stored within your bio-energetic field. By taking the learning from the events, history, and belief systems, it is possible to build new paradigms and awaken to new possibilities for a life of greater freedom, self-awareness, and understanding.
You are connected to your ancestral line that goes back for many thousand years. In the film Genetic Rivers written by Janus Roze, he speaks of DNA research that looks at ancestral ties across centuries. Within these webs of connection, your ancestors were likely from many places on the planet through trade, shifts in government, slavery, wars, and the need for geographical movement for the sake of continuing life. If you were to look back far enough, perhaps you would find that you are indeed joined to many other parts of the planet., languages, religions, and belief systems.
The research of Franz Popp details that DNA emits light and can be influenced by shifts in consciousness. These changes have the capacity to create greater wellness and well-being not only for self but for others through healing in the webs of connection. Your contribution to the web of life is essential. In his film, Genetic Rivers, Janis Roze speaks to both the river of DNA and consciousness that makes you unique in this moment.
The light that you radiate through your choices, actions, words, and interactions with others makes a difference on the cellular, personal, relationship, and global levels. Know that you are an important link in the web, and you are in the process of awakening to consciousness. “You are the cutting edge of human consciousness that creates the future.” ~Janis Roze
I’d like to invite you to receive monthly wellness and well-being healing modalities and information about repatterning events from Windows to the Heart Repatterning.
Don Miguel Ruiz, in his book, The Four Agreements, starts with “Be impeccable with your word.” Your self-talk and what you do your words have the power to create something outside, but also inside. Our words can build or tear apart. According to Carolyn Myss,“Dis-empowering language keeps us sick and weak.” Negative self-talk messages such as “I can’t do it,” “ It won’t work,” or “ I’m not good enough,” often speak to material from long ago, and do not allow the “true self” to shine.
How to Empower your Self-Talk
1. Working with the energy center for hearing and speech, the Ether Chakra (throat) allows for feeling and serves as the bridge between the Air (heart and lungs) and Brow Chakra (pineal gland) creating the opportunity for expression from both the heart and mind. To access these three centers, notice with loving awareness of how your communication feels. Become aware of your breath and focus in your heart before speaking. This then expands the electromagnetic fields of the heart and brain for more clarity, problem-solving, connection to love, courage, compassion, and intuition. This results in creating greater opportunity for the harvest of response overreaction in your expression.
2. Clarity, truth, and respectful wording create greater empowerment. To experiment with this idea, read paired sentences with small changes, noting how you feel as you read both.
Indecision to Clarity
“Maybe, I’ll call you to tomorrow.” /“I’ll call you tomorrow.”
“Yeah, I think that song is great.” / “ Yes, that song is great.”
“Nah, I don’t think it’s a wise decision.” / “No, it’s not a wise decision” Extreme to Moderate
“I never eat after 5 PM.” / “ I seldom eat after 5 PM.”
“I always meditate for an hour.” / “I often meditate for an hour,” or “I sometimes meditate for an hour.” Should to Choice“ I should call my mother on Sunday.”/ “I choose to call my mother on Sunday,” or “I want to call my mother on Sunday.” Try to Aim
“I will try to do my best on my homework.” / “ I aim to do my best on my homework” or “I intend to do my best on my homework.” Diminishment to Value
“ I’m just a student.” / “ I am a student.”
“ I can’t exercise for 30 minutes.” / “I choose not to exercise for thirty minutes.”
or “I am not willing to exercise for thirty minutes.” Demand to Desire
“I have to lose 5 lbs. by August 30th.” /“I desire to lose 5 lbs. by August 30th.” or “ I choose to lose 5 lbs. by August 30th.”
“I need to finish this work by tomorrow.” / “It’s important to me to finish this work by tomorrow.”
3. Extend this practice by keeping track of repeated messages you give yourself and then working with a change from the list above. Using a journal, write down a statement you hear yourself saying which feels uncomfortable. Use the same practice of tuning in to your heart and breath as you reflect on its meaning. Listen to your words to inform and empower your life for illumination. Who, what, and where on the time-space continuum is speaking? I’ve worked with clients who have expressed beliefs, attitudes, and hardships of their ancestor’s traumas and limitations.
Sometimes messages are parental messages from pre-natal experience or very early on. Through the course of a session, when the client consciously becomes aware and transforms the old messages, a great burden is lifted! Create a new message by taking it more deeply into a Resonance Repatterning® session for internal shifts. By taking this active part, you create respectful, loving, and supportive action from within for life-affirming communication.
Nature paces itself as it moves through the seasons. Pacing yourself over time, allows you to move with greater ease through shifts, challenges, stressful situations, and transitions. The cycles of life can be looked at through the lens of where you are today, and more importantly where you have traveled over time. Pacing yourself over time happens one moment, hour, day, week, month, season, and year at a time.
It is true that the patterns that show up in your life today related to your attitudes, beliefs, and perception of interaction with the world have taken years to develop. They have evolved and changed. These patterns affect how you plan, meet obstacles, experience joy, and acknowledge rewards and seeming failures.
To acknowledge that it is possible to create positive change over time includes working with the present moment. With each new insight and awareness, you choose the capacity to move towards life-enhancing choices in your life. The journey begins with starting in the present and building new neural pathways, beliefs, and habits over time: one moment, hour, day, week, month, season and year at a time.
Pacing Yourself Moment by Moment
A simple way to
connect to the moment is to get in touch with your breath,
breathing in and out through your nose. By getting in touch with your
in-breath and out-breath with its calming effects, your nervous
system creates nurture and support for being better able to be
present in the moment. This creates a greater ability to focus,
listen, and process what is happening in front of you.
If you are feeling anxious or disoriented, you can also add a contact to the middle of your chest at Conception Vessel 17 area to reinforce the connection between all the organ systems of your body to enhance communication and life energy flow to transform your mood and awareness of where you are in the present.
Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is patience. ~Ralph Waldo
Emerson
Pacing Yourself Hour by Hour
Meditate, read, and take brief rests or walks. Pause during the day to look out the window if you are in an indoor workspace. Look at ways to bring a 10-15 minute rest period into your schedule daily. Research has shown that taking a break to read for as little as 6 minutes creates a greater sense of calm.
Make time to stretch and wind down. Take your time, reduce stimulation, and spend time with others in pleasurable ways. Express gratitude. Nourish your body with whole foods, water, and sunlight. Take some quiet time to rejuvenate in the midst of a busy day.
Break your work into sizable parts. Prioritize and delegate.
Pacing Yourself Day by Day
Building in time for work, play and self-care is important to create harmony and balance in your life. In order to take care of yourself, make space for self-reflection, gratitude, and centering. By doing so, you energize your intentions, restore your energy, and pace yourself instead of burning yourself out.
There are many ways to create possibilities for these options in your day, if only for a few moments.
Before going to sleep it is important to transition from the business of the day. Sometimes, you might still have a challenge on your mind before sleeping. In order to truly rest, it’s important to move to get out of the fast-paced zone. While there are many ways to fall asleep, building mindfulness into your sleep routine is beneficial to allow your body-mind system to detox and rejuvenate overnight.
Some people get into the gratitude zone with reflection from the day. This can be done with gratitude for what you did, created, or avoided during the day. With this, you can also bring in what you feel grateful for in regard to others during the day including a smile, a gesture, or a compliment. And lastly, you can express regret for the day. This allows you to really put down the worry, anxiety, and tension you carry during the day. When there is an issue involving a decision, you can also offer a question before sleep while acknowledging that you cannot solve the issue. By letting go, ask for a solution you have not thought of yet, and include in your request a solution for the highest and best. This allows your body-mind system to connect to the calm reservoir of wisdom from your higher self. As your body is detoxing from the previous day, your Gall Bladder Official (Decision-Making Official) is cleansing and renewing for a new perspective in the morning!
Mindful Exercise:Exercise creates positive mood-altering neurotransmitters and promotes a sense of well-being. Finding ways to enhance your sense of well-being and health happens when you set up a routine that works for you and pace yourself in the process. For more on how to create a beneficial exercise routine that works for you, read more here.
Pacing Yourself Month by Month
Taking care of monthly bills and commitments is part of life. However, it’s also important to know that you are affected by personal, natural, and cultural cycles. These include anniversaries, holidays, and deadlines. Your health is also affected by the natural cycles of the moon. Learn more here.
Season
by Season
Each
season
has its own qualities in sync with nature. In order to access
nature’s rhythm, use the wisdom of the Chinese
Five Elements
in your life.
Summer: Be sure
to spend time with others in ways that nourish your heart. Enjoy your
connections through laughter, hugging, playing and joyful expression.
Late Summer:
Find ways to be in touch with centering yourself. Be at home within.
Find movement practices that ground your energy and increase your
well-being like Tai Chi or Qi Gong. Express gratitude. Look at what
you are harvesting in your life. Remember to balance giving and
receiving.
Fall:
Become aware of what inspires you. Look at your values, and how you
are living these values in your life. Nurture
self-acceptance and expand your spiritual practices
so that they allow you to let go of that which is no longer
necessary. Remember to breathe.
Winter: Tune into that which allows you to pace yourself while you persevere. Rest, dream,, and listen to your inner vision for life and to others. Examine where you are needing support to meet obstacles and go with the flow of life.
Spring: Look at your vision of life. Consider what you need to bring into the light so that you can create intentions free of frustration and energy that cuts you off from the light, optimism, and hope. Detoxify your body-mind system for greater life-enhancing energy.
Pacing Yourself Year by Year
Looking at nature, you notice what happens as time passes. Seeds become sprouts. Sprouts become flowers. Flowers become fruit. Their seeds are dispersed and become dormant through winter creating new growth. Small tree plantings become forests. As the years progress it is important to look at what has been seeded in your life, and what course this has created for you.
Resonance Repatterning® sessions, make it possible to work with material from earlier years to address how these imprints are still affecting your experience of life. You can make significant, tangible, and sustainable changes in your life to create greater integrity in your wellness and well-being. This happens over time and enhances the quality and quantity of life energy you have for your positive intentions in the present.
* Personal sessions get into details about time cycles that affect your wellnessand well-being. The interaction between the Five Elements and Meridians creates harmony and balance by working specifically with what your body-mind system needs.

As a Resonance Repatterning® practitioner, I work with people who are experiencing anger, grief, and depression. Many times, these emotions come from loss, physical and emotional stress, or unresolved issues from a relationship in their own life. However, many times, the information stems from the unconscious or “unknown” from past generations. Even if the client doesn’t know about a family member or situation from the past, a Family Systems session based on the Family Constellations work of Bert Hellinger, and the use of the muscle-checking process in Resonance Repatterning, can tap into your resonance with systemic issues of exclusion, war, untimely death, poverty, disease, separation, perpetration, or victimhood of members of your system.
If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of each of these people. ~Thich Nhat Hanh
Honoring the messages from all your relations affects how you see and experience life in the present. * All names in the following 3 case studies were changed and situations shared with permission.
All family members need to be given a place in your system. When a member is excluded, victimized or is a perpetrator in the system without resolution or healing, a new member in the family system will often take on the burden or experience of a previous member of the system out of loyalty or love to give them a place in trying to resolve or heal the experience.
You may not even know Aunt Annabel or Great Uncle Harry, but there is a message of healing in understanding how their lives affected your thinking and your view of life.
Case Study 1*: Erin came in to work with issues of grief and depression. She was struggling with food issues related to borderline anorexia and had difficulties keeping her finances balanced. She experienced loss in relationships over and over. In Resonance Repatterning sessions, she discovered that one of the primary issues with these struggles was the resonance she had with taking on the destiny of her brother who died a tragic death when she was 32. Through loyalty and love she was making a sacrifice of life energy through not eating, and processing loss after loss both financially and emotionally. Through a Family Systems repatterning, she worked with accepting the destiny of her brother’s death and received energetic permission in a visualization modality to continue in life and experience good with the blessings of her brother. As she continued to work, she found that there had been a pattern within her system that included loss of life through suicides and tragic deaths that had been repeated through generational imprints. The family had repeated this cyclic pattern of violence to self for generations. Erin had not had this information consciously, but when she started doing research, found that this was true. After working with ending the cycle of violence within her own life, Erin was then able to start to take nurture and feel as though she could take care of her life’s energy and savings.
Case Study 2: Alex, a person who was working with issues of depression, worked on issues related to lack of money and wanting to break away from his family so he could experience greater peace. One of his grandparents had lived in poverty and was ostracized by other family members. The conflict and experience of being victimized were translated into Alex’s life depression and a lack of vital energy. Out of loyalty and love, Alex was giving his grandparent a place in the family by taking on the characteristics of grief, depression, and poverty. Through repatterning, Alex was able to give his grandfather a place in the system and to resonate with taking the love from his grandparent as he placed himself as the little one instead of taking the grandparent’s place in the system. In this way, he was released from the burden and was able to feel more at ease, and at home in his own skin.
Case Study 3: Karen was working on anxiety issues and moving towards experiencing life more fully. In fact, she would say repeatedly, “Every time I take action to solve my problems, it’s as if I am invisible. No one hears me. Nothing works out. It’s as if the Universe is against me.”
In a Family Systems session and the muscle-checking system used in Resonance Repatterning, the issue was identified as being related to an unresolved traumatic experience in her family. In checking further, it was found that it was related to her father. At the same time, Karen had delayed going to the dentist, and a positive action checked in over and over again through muscle-checking in her sessions that she needed to see a dentist. But, she could not seem to take the next step forward for self-care. It checked that this was related to an event related to her father. I asked Karen if this perhaps was an anniversary of a traumatic event in her family such as death, divorce, illness, or abuse. Karen was not sure. However, when Karen did her research, she found that her father, a veteran of war, had been removed from a mission during World War II due to an infection that required that he see a dentist. The result of the mission was that all the soldiers died. Her father was the only surviving person due to his need to be treated medically. He did not talk much about it in his life. The date of the mission in World War II checked in for the same week historically as the session itself!
Karen was carrying information about her father’s experience into her life as a way to honor him and the victims of war. Through a sacrifice of life in the present, an attempt was being made to bring this to light and to express the message of love for all the people in her system who experienced trauma, including both the perpetrators and victims. Through this process, she worked to end the internal cycle of violence by seeing them at peace.
In truth, we each have a part of ourselves that lives through the lens of perpetrator and victim. Awareness, acceptance, insight, compassion, and forgiveness allow there to be more harmony and peace. This can show up internally as well when you sabotage or diminish the value of your own life through self-destructive thoughts and actions, addictions, internal blame, harmful habits, and negative relationships, and can lead to less vital life energy overall.
When you experience the victim aspect, you may overexert without taking into account your own needs or blame others for your situation. This can show up as feeling like you have overdrawn on your emotional bank account. This leads to a sense of feeling powerlessness or having a personal choice. In turn, fear, anger and depression affect how you see the world. In both cases, it creates more upset and conflict than serenity inside. It gets amplified in all your relationships: known and unknown!
The opportunity in working with family system issues and internalized effects of perpetrator and victim is to listen more deeply to the meaning behind your feelings. The conflict of generational disharmony may be speaking through your life today. And, at this moment, you can heal and contribute greater peace to your family system in your family line and for future generations. Making peace with each part of yourself and your family system allows you to then resonate with greater support, compassion, and vital life energy to face life with more harmony in the present! I attended a conference in Mexico over a decade ago where a speaker talked about the necessary journey in our lives. She talked about healing within as your spiritual journey through life.
This evolution is more of a spiral than a straight line. So bringing mindfulness, kindness, and understanding to your life is essential to reach your heart through joys, trials, and challenges so you take part in creating your own destiny through the compassionate journey of healing within.
This journey shows up in the appointments you have with essential learning that are brought to the surface to metabolize emotions in the process of your being human on this planet where there is so much to process.
The threshold of learning happens where and when you are challenged with external events that are paired with an inner conflict related to your feelings, attitudes, and beliefs. Some events in our lives seem to have greater gravitational force than others. Events of great joy, as well as great sorrow, take you into deeper dialogue with your soul, to the questions about the meaning of your own life and your purpose. These are particular times, no matter how difficult it seems related to the cultural, familial, and gender expectations of you, you have the invitation to engage and embark on the adventure of taking the compassionate journey of healing within for growth and transformation.
Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. ~Brene Brown
Creating the Compassionate Journey with Courage and Acceptance
Challenges show up in relationships, obstacles, forks in the road, and seeming dead ends. The Universe uses everything to involve you in the journey: relationships, situations, emotions, etc. The choices that present themselves when difficulties show up, messages, or learning is what it is attempting to get your attention to expand your awareness.
Challenges are here to awaken you and even if you’re awakening, life continuously gives you challenges and then the awakening accelerates and deepens. ~ Eckhart Tolle
An issue might keep showing up and then escalate to create even more pain and intensity until you are ready to sit with the meaning of the need for significant inner change. I have fondly called this “the lesson of the 2 x 4.” I say fondly because it is how much persuasion it takes to finally get that things are not working out no matter how many times attempted to get things to turn out another way. You know the adage, “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” ~ Unknown
Shame, guilt, hurt, anger, hopelessness, or fear can keep you from looking at another possibility for a new or broader vision of life. However, these feelings do point to the healing journey to transform us. It is important to work with these inner signals, to digest, metabolize and integrate them to take their higher lessons. In a world where it is difficult to sit with anything or have time to process, taking time with your inner feelings is essential to create positive change in your wellness and well-being.
It’s very important that we re-learn the art of resting and relaxing. Not only does it help prevent the onset of many illnesses that develop through chronic tension and worrying; it allows us to clear our minds, focus, and find creative solutions to problems. ~Thich Nhat Hanh
Many times the desire to make something work out with the perception of the past is based on re-acting out something that needs your attention to heal and update. You might not have had the support or nurture to work out the original pain or situation at the time. However, tuning into the place that makes you vulnerable today creates the openness that allows you to bring awareness to the underlying need, feelings, and beliefs that keep you entangled in the pattern from the past. It is essential to unlocking the lesson from your unhealed limiting earlier experience to change the patterns you are living in the present.
The truth is that your current experience of life is based on your beliefs, thoughts, and attitudes about yourself, the world, and others. When you change your perception of what you are experiencing within, you change how you interact and respond to life allowing you to live more from your potential through a greater connection to truth, love, and compassion for your inner needs and feelings. This, in turn, allows you to see more of your self. In doing so, you are then able to see more of others. Through empathy, your compassion ripples out into the world to create new connections and new possibilities for being in the world.
Acceptance looks like a passive state, but in reality, it brings something entirely new into this world. That peace, a subtle energy vibration, is consciousness. ~Eckhart Tolle
Building a Bridge to New Possibilities for Your Life
Resonance Repatterning® is a compassionate healing journey to unlock where, when, and how a limiting or depleting situation, belief, or attitude still affects your life today. There are processes within the protocols that diffuse and release the disrupted, blocked or constricted energy that limits your ability to find a new way of interacting with life. The process also includes fusing or returning energy to your body-mind system that has been lost through trauma, loss, shock, or pain so that you actually have more life energy to dedicate to the positive intentions you have for your life. This creates greater integrity in your wellness and well-being allowing you to experience more love, joy, a sense of hope, a feeling of being centered, and empowered.
Would you like to receive natural ways to build greater harmony and balance in your wellness and well-being? Here is an opportunity with monthly healing modalities and repatterning events from Windows to the Heart Repatterning.
Often, in working with Resonance Repatterning®, we refer to creating greater harmony and balance in your body-mind system. While I have heard some healing practitioners speak to the need only for harmony, this article speaks to the need for balance as well as harmony to experience greater integrity in your wellness and well-being.
What is Harmony?
If you have ever played an instrument, you know that it takes at least two tones or notes to create harmony. As a child, I used to sing with my brother as he played guitar. He would sing the melody, and I would sing the harmonizing melody to his lead. The chords he played themselves were a number of notes with intervals that created greater tonal richness than playing a single note at a time. The harmonic overtones and vibrations carried melodic communication in the relationship between notes that created emotion, rhythm, frequency, and meaning.
Your body-mind system works in concert with communication between cells, tissues, organs, glands, muscles, and Nervous System. Endocrine, neurotransmitter, enzyme, and hormone function are affected by these connections and vice versa.
Balance is related to the impact of one element or tone with another. Imagine singing with someone else, or playing an instrument that is either too LOUD or too soft. In either case, the full harmonic effect is lost as one-note drowns out other notes.
Another example is related to cooking. Several years ago, I used a recipe from a Hallmark card for Irish Soda bread. The recipe called for ¼ cup of salt. Because I trusted the brand, I proceeded even though I wondered about the amount. I’m sure you know the outcome. The bread tasted like a very salty pretzel, and it was basically inedible. Too much of this ingredient in the blend of this recipe changed the overall intention to create a slightly sweet bread.
In Chinese Medicine, your organ systems serve each other through both nurture and limitation to enhance your overall quality of life. Through shared responsibility, each organ relates to other organs in ways that give nurture, support, energy, detoxification, and circulation thus contributing to your overall health.
What happens when one part of your body-mind system moves out of balance?
There is a loss in the ability to communicate with the rest of your body-mind system in a way that works with the overall process. When this happens, other parts of your body-mind system can begin to create more force to compensate or could slow down, block, or interrupt communication when overwhelmed.
In Resonance Repatterning, pain is a blockage, interruption, or disruption of energy. Creating better energy flow relies on both harmonizing and creating a greater balance between your organ and meridian systems.
What impacts Harmony and Balance in Your System?
A number of factors including stress, interruption of sleep cycles, poor diet, toxins, lack of sunlight, or even emotional overwhelm over time can create an imbalance in communication between the cells and organ systems of your body.
Being able to listen to the information your body reports to you through your energy levels, emotions, and repetitive patterns you notice in your daily wake and sleep cycles lets you know where you would benefit in creating greater harmony and balance in of your health, thought processes, limiting beliefs and attitudes that impact your sense of well-being.
For example, we know that increased stress can change heartbeat, breath rate, blood pressure, and energy flow in your body. Current science speaks to the relationship between your physical, emotional, mental cause, and effect issues.
In Resonance Repatterning, harmonizing even one of these levels has a holographic impact on other levels of your wellness and well-being. You are wired for success and self-healing. The inter-connected communication system in your body-mind system allows you to experience greater harmony and balance. And, this process works with the wisdom from your own body-mind system to identify where and how to restore greater harmony, communication, and balance in your body-mind system.
