For Every Season Winter Repatterning Details

The For Every Season Winter Program is about to begin on December 1, 2024, and continue through the month of February 2025.

The Winter Season will include December 2024, January, and February2025 with the topics of self-care as you move through the winter months and the holidays and moving from fear to love with perseverance and resilience into the new year.

This process will give you the following activities for personal growth and reflection:

  • Receive poetry with weekly reflections for each month based on topics of moving from fear to love, creating resilience by pacing yourself and perseverance, and taking care of your vital essence.
  • Take part in a virtual 60-minute Group Resonance Repatterning where you can use the insight you experienced with your personal reflections to add to the Water Element Repatterning.
  • Enjoy an Expressive Arts Therapy Activity to create momentum for new opportunities and possibilities in your life
  • Get all reflection and repatterning materials, recordings and directions delivered to your email address at the beginning of each month

How the For Every Season Repatterning Process Works

In December, this process starts with an inspirational poem with weekly reflections focusing on any issues related to the transition from fall to winter in your life. December will focus on your aim and intentions in your life for new possibilities associated with enhancing your life energy while pacing yourself and persevering with your goals for your wellness and well-being.

At the beginning of February, you will have the opportunity to use your reflections and intentions from the For Every Season process in the 60-minute group repatterning for letting go of any residual unfinished energetics interrupting your pathway related to the topics that came up in your reflections. The repatterning process aims to create more coherent life energy and motivation to achieve your positive intentions. The follow-up from the session will include reflections with an expressive arts therapy activity based on the group repatterning to take the benefits of your work through the season into your life more fully for the rest of the year.

In Winter: Dive Deep to Rejuvenate Your Life Energy

In winter when cold, ice, and snow cover the Earth, it can feel difficult to believe that warmth and light will ever return. Perhaps you’ve found yourself feeling stuck, and think nothing is happening of any value. The truth is that much is happening internally that is of great value. If you dive deep you can restore and rejuvenate yourself for greater life energy.

In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer.” ~Albert Camus

Allow me to share this personal story.  A few years ago after a winter storm, and when the snow finally melted a bit, I decided to take advantage of some of the sunlight to get out of the house. I took a walk around one of the beautiful glacial lakes here in these Cascade Mountains. What I noticed was that part of the lake was still frozen, while the other half was still flowing. In the part that was flowing, ducks were swimming and searching for plants close to the banks. In the part that was frozen, ice created webbed patterns making it difficult to see beneath the surface.   I watched two men throwing stones into the frozen part of the water. The first man was throwing heavy stones into the icy end making a huge impact at the surface as it descended into the lake. The second man was skipping a small stone across the ice. This made beautiful tones that rang out across the lake. The visual impact and sounds of these stones really stayed with me.

When I shared what I saw with my Science teacher-parent, he responded, We seldom appreciate the wonders of water in winter in its relationship to supporting life. When we see frozen water, it is often associated with an absence of flow and life. But, its unique features allow nature to function properly in the process of change. An example that many of us would never notice, and might take for granted, is that ice floats on lakes in the winter. What we miss is the fact that water when it gets colder falls to the bottom of the lake. When water gets close to freezing, it then rises to the surface. This causes the ice to form on the top, and in so doing, turns the water over completely in the lake. This turning over moves the nutrients in such a way that aquatic life is refreshed.” ~Dr. Robert Knodt

The process of inner growth is like that for us, too. It takes diving deep into the unseen and then allowing time and space for the process to unfold. A heavy stone dives deep.  It can be hard at first. Feeling all our feelings, getting in touch with the message underneath can lead to greater compassion, understanding, and forgiveness. When you give yourself the time to go through a process of accessing your inner truth, you come back with greater clarity.  Through mindfulness, it is the process of turning over your inner lake.

Your interior life depends on listening. Subtle or seemingly small encounters, synchronicity, or messages in your daily life can change your perspective while renewing your energy. This is like the second stone ringing out across the ice carrying a message to inform all of your life. Everything in the Universe can be a messenger. There is nothing too small or insignificant.  A newsletter heading, the cashier at Starbucks, or a small gesture of someone smiling or holding the door can make the difference between gloom and bloom!

When you begin to trust the messages from within and realize that the Universe is conspiring with you to build your spiritual self-esteem, doorways open to new possibilities and awareness.   Taking action with the guidance and wisdom you receive will bring balance and more harmony to your life. Every single event, person, situation, the reason for joy, pain or grief has, in fact, the potential to lead to a greater expansion of spiritual awareness and connection to nourishment. Through this lens, you can begin to see places in your life where you have felt stuck or frozen where your inner lake was turning over differently. When this time comes, spend time and dive deep to create new harmonics to create harmony in your life.

The time you take for reflection will improve your quality of response to whatever life is presenting to you next. It might feel like it is impossible to take action when you are stuck, depressed, or in grief. But, by going through the process of self-care, it is then possible to emerge with greater insight and renewal.  Give voice to your thoughts through journaling.  Draw, dance, and play the music that helps you feel connected to harmony.  Build in a movement practice that incorporates a focus on your breath. Read material that will help deepen and expand your understanding. Find a compassionate listener. Eat healthy foods. Spend time in nature. Take inventory of what is good about you! Find a way to go with the flow.  Rest and renew.

Want to experience greater insight and rejuvenation in the process? Contact Kimberly Rex, MS here to experience a Resonance Repatterning® session. Each session dives deep in a way that brings more life energy and nourishment to your life with natural modalities designed to help you feel more energized, centered, and empowered.

Winter Wellness Naturally

Winter is a time to consider going within to nourish your roots. It is time to incorporate self-care even more consciously during these cold months. This article shares natural ways to build integrity in your winter wellness naturally.

via GIPHY

1) Take Care of Your Kidneys and Bladder

Winter is Water Element time in Traditional Chinese Medicine. So this is is especially a good time to do self-care for your kidneys and bladder. 1) Be sure that the food you eat and the beverages you drink are not cold. They should be at least room temperature. Drink 2-3 cups of water or tea between 1 and 3 pm to hydrate your system. Add a little salt to your meal at dinner (between 5 and 7 pm: Kidney time). 2) Eat foods with root vegetables, whole grains, and small amounts of meat or fish protein. Include foods that are dark blue or close to black in color to feed your kidneys. If you are a vegetarian, eat more beans, nuts, seeds, and tempeh. 3) Keep your feet and kidney area warm throughout the winter. Wear a scarf to keep your neck warm. 4) You can do some movement for this purpose as well: marching in place is helpful. Rub your ears also as they are related to Water Element.

2) Take Care of Your Lungs

Movement and Breath: Be sure to stretch your upper body. By doing this so, you are expanding your lungs. You can do this by opening your arms to the side and above your head to open your chest (stretching your lungs). Open your neck and mouth with a sound to expel toxins from the lungs as you do so. Stretch your upper body from side to side with your arms crossing over each other in a push to the opposite side to stretch your lungs for winter wellness.

Lung Exercises: Opening Chest Expands Lungs

Breathing Exercise: Pursed Lips Breathing: Pursed-lips breathing can slow down your breathing, reducing the work of breathing by keeping your airways open longer. This makes it easier for the lungs to function and improves the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide. This breathing exercise can be practiced at any time.

How to:

  1. Inhale slowly through your nose.
  2. Purse your lips, as if you are going to blow on something.
  3. Breathe out slowly through your pursed lips. This should take at least 2 x as long as you take to breathe in.
  4. Repeat.

3) Take Care of Your Large Intestine

Taking care of your digestion means being sure you are eating to keep your digestion running smoothly. When you have issues with digestion or elimination, incorporate fennel, ginger, marjoram, thyme, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper in your cooking and teas. Consider flax seeds, flaxseed oil, and psyllium if you have difficulties with elimination.

Look at stress in your life that constricts your ability to let go. Be sure to keep hydrated. You can also use the sound, “M” for the sound of letting go.

Listening to Your True North

Listening to your True North in a world that asks you to interact with diverse and sometimes dissonant views can sometimes be challenging. Expressing your values through your communication and actions in some spaces might leave you feeling disoriented, confused, and de-energized.

If you have had experiences where you did not have permission to express your views it can be difficult to give yourself permission to radiate your light and make choices based on your inner guidance. Family, societal and cultural systems might override your ability to get in touch with what you truly believe, choose and value.

The truth is that there is only one you. You were born with the DNA from your ancestors AND you were born with a gift and unique expression of the universe. In Chinese Medicine, this is referred to as your Original Self or core essence.

So how do you find your back to your core essence? You begin by looking at what you have been living and where you have pushed up against challenges in your life. For it is within these experiences that your North Star can be found.

In Resonance Repatterning® there is the opportunity to look at parts of yourself that have been immobilized or stuck in an energetic posture you took for survival needs. These parts hold the information you need to access what you need to learn to get to know more deeply the voice of your true essence. By doing so, this mobilizes the energy to be able to face life in a new way in the outer world.

For it is with the loving permission from these earlier experiences that you gain access to all of wisdom from your Family Systems, and get to know the strength and good within yourself. It is with this growth and transformation that allows you to discern what is aligned with your values that create the principles for your life.

Explore these (2) exercises from that process to give your True North and inner Essence a voice.*

You will need paper, and drawing materials like pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, or markers for these activities. You can also use a journal or a notebook for the process. These exercises are from the Finding Your Inner Compass Ebook that accompanied a Group Repatterning process I offered a few years ago. Here is an opportunity to sample some of the complementary activities that enhance a group repatterning.*

Knowing my True North gives me the courage to focus my energy where I believe it should be, not according to what is popular or pleasing to others.” ~Jennifer Cummings

You will need paper, and drawing materials like pencils, pens, crayons, colored pencils, or markers for these activities. You can also use a journal or a notebook for the process. Give yourself 30 minutes for this activity.

Directions for Inner Nature-Outer World

Unless someone truly has the power to say no, they never truly have the power to say yes.”~ Dan Millman

For this activity you will need a piece of paper and a writing tool. You can complete this in a journal or single sheet. The process can be one you use over time or when you feel like you need it when you feel like you are going off course. Give yourself 15 minutes for this activity.

Directions for Saying No to Be Able to Say Yes to Life

* These activities culminated with a group repatterning to add intentions for new possibilities while transforming issues related to this topic.

This is your personal invitation to work with this material with a personal Resonance Repatterning session or an upcoming group repatterning process. The next group repatterning program begins on December 1, 2024, with the For Every Season Winter Program.

Making Change Based on the Wisdom of Nature

Making change based on the wisdom of nature benefits your wellness and well-being. At this time of year you can begin to appreciate the harvest of nature’s wealth of offerings in fruit, vegetables, and flowers. In every phase of development, there is a purpose. Nature nourishes the process of development from seed to flower to fruit in every stage. A plant puts its energy in particular parts with right timing. In winter, the energy is focused in the roots, in spring the stem and leaves, in early summer, the buds and flowers, and in late summer, the fruit of the plant with seeds.

This leads to the question of Earth Element’s gifts at this time of year. In Chinese Medicine, this element is related to your stomach and spleen, and related to nuture and support on all levels. There is a quality of this element in every transition in your life, and especially between seasons. As in nature, the process of change from one season to another is gradual rather than sudden. Temperature, sunlight, rain and steadiness in direction all factor into making transition. So it is about pacing yourself over time in any change that gives you the ability to nurture yourself in the process while practicing self-care.

The ability to take support from resources in your life is a process of giving and receiving. For example, in nature at this time of the year fruit and vegetables offer their seeds for the next stage of development to preserve the overall life cycle of the plant itself. It is a preparation for what is to come. In fall, the leaves fall to make room for new buds set for the following spring. The leaves that fall nourish the Earth below to support the lognevity of the roots, and to make fertile the opportunity for new growth.

The Universe doesn’t waste anything. This is a wonderful way to look at transition in our own lives. How has the past prepared you for where you are today? How can you use that nformattion to support and nurture yourself today? It involves looking at the nourishing inspirational aspects as well as places where you have felt grief, remorse or sadness. Held between Earth Element’s invitation to look at support and nurure so you can feel more at home in your body in any circumstance and Metal Element, the prominent energetics of fall, there is always a place for you to process what is happening within.

Feeling at home in your own body whether you are starting or seeding something, growing from an experience, harvesting what you have learned from life, or needing to root and ground yourself to preserve and protect your energy in the process of change makes all the difference in how you move forward. Being in sync with nature allows you move from a place of resistance to resilience.
