Healing Bonding-Separation Stress Response in Your Relationships

Healing bonding-separation stress in your relationships is based on transforming the blueprint for relationship established during your birth process and through your first two years of life. Attachment theory speaks to the need for both bonding with your mother, as well as the need to be able to explore the world through the eyes of curiosity which requires safety and predictability.  This means being able to receive nurture from your mother while also feeling secure enough to explore the world around you.

When the bonding-separation cycles of attachment are interrupted through stressful experience or trauma whether in the birth process, hospital experience, or stressful experiences in your family during your first two years of life, the attachment cycle is disrupted.  When this stress is left unresolved or unhealed, it plays out in your relationships through your adult life through bonding-separation stress response.

This non-coherent information is stored in your nervous system through over-active response with the inability to relax, bond, listen, be receptive, or feel comfort. When this happens, your nervous system gets trapped in a fight or flight response without the ability to discern In turn, this has a direct input on your ability to connect and bond with the discernment of safety and trust. It can also impact your ability to manage stress, leading to isolation, or inability to distinguish or separate from people, situations and relationships that are not healthy for you.

Questions to ask yourself:

1.   Do I isolate or have a difficult time connecting with others?
2 .  Is it difficult for me to delegate responsibility or ask for help in my relationships?
3.   Is it difficult for me to let go of a situation or relationship even when it is toxic to me?
4.   Do I tolerate abuse or abusive words from others?
5.   Is it difficult for me to set boundaries or time for myself with self-care?
6.   Do I feel guilty or take all the blame for situations or relationships?
7.   Do I have a tendency to tough it out to stay in control?
8.   Do I feel like a “Mother, Marytr, or Manipulator” in my adult relationships?
9.   Is it difficult to feel like I am in my body instead of always “out there”?
10. Is it difficult to find people who with whom I  feel safety and trust?

Healing and Opening Your Heart Resonance Repatterning Sessions

 In summer, Fire Element emerges as the gateway to the kingdom of your Heart. It is an opportunity to move through places in your life where you are stuck in the area of discernment, connection to others, or feel a need to experience more joy, love and vitality in your life. Just as the heart has four chambers, there are four aspects of the heart related to creating emotional, mental, spirit and physical health. These four aspects focus on creating coherent health for your heart, the seat of the Supreme Controller in Chinese Medicine that rules the kingdom of your body through the heart, emotions and mind with compassion, clarity, discernment, love and truth.

Yin or Ministerial Fire Element Meridians

In every kingdom there is governance whether this be a king, president, emperor, etc. And, every ruler needs guidance, support and advising. In this case, it is the minister that enhances clarity and discernment for the overall good of the kingdom.

Clear Heart: When there is clarity in your heart, the flow of energy feeds and nourishes your body-mind system. You are nourished by your inner gifts, and take guidance from this insight. This, in turns, creates the essential central feeling of trusting yourself and creates the value of resonating with trustworthiness in your relationships through discernment. In Chinese Medicine, the Small Intestines Meridian is known as the sorter, to absorb what is essential for the body and mind. If knows what to take in and what to reject.

Confusion or doubting your inner needs and wisdom can lead to the inability to act, create isolation and disorientation as to what is nourishing for you in your life. Substituting or compensating for unmet needs with de-energizing actions, foods, self-talk, habits and addictions make life feel more complicated. This leads to a greater sense of depletion.

Open Heart: An open heart allows connection, love, and ability to experience the present with broad vision. It allows you to hear and see what is available, and allows you to absorb beauty and possibility. When your heart is closed, it is a signal that you are not feeling safe or trusting of life. When this is so, it is more difficult to experience life completely. This means that you feel unable to take in life fully including breath, nourishment, positive touch and positive bonding with others.

The Shen Spirit in your Heart creates stillness, intelligence, peace, calmness and compassion that leads to clear perception. It allows you to remain connected to the core essence of you are in your own heart, and to connect to the Shen Spirit of another. In this way, healing can happen. (Heart Meridian)

Yang or Sovereign Fire Element Meridians

In order to function well in life on all levels, it is important to come from your center so you can respond to life, and be present to relationship, business, and life.

Full Heart: The full heart experiences gratitude and builds this practice into daily living in whatever is seen, experienced, heard and felt. The Heart Protector is about circulation of blood physically, and pleasure, joy and love in your day-to-day life. When your heart is full, you are magnetic and attract the possibility for connection.

When your Heart Protector Meridian energy is out of balance, you are more likely to feel disconnected from others, with a lack of safety and trust. You face relationship. life and your goals half-heartedly. You feel out of balance with your inner self, and this shows up in the world physically as being more disoriented and accident-prone.

Strong Heart: The word, heart, in Spanish is corazon.” The Latin root “cor” is integral to the word courage. In this way, courage is directly related to the heart itself. Courage is more than acting in a way that implies confidence, decision or assertion. When courage comes from the heart, it is informed with peace instead of conflict. The heart responds rather than reacts to internal fear of fight, flight or freeze. The response is from the core of self instead of a perception of what the other person or the situation is demanding. Choice and freedom arise from internal connection to your needs considered and personal boundaries intact so you can speak your truth activated by the Triple Heater Meridian.

4 Rules for Life

Making space and time is a way of making an appointment with yourself. It allows you to reconnect to your center, to be able to listen to your inner wisdom and to consider choices.  In this way you are able to listen more deeply, and get in touch with the ministerial aspect of your heart.  Meditation, writing in your journal, taking a walk in nature, or talking with someone you trust are all ways to connect with your inner Shen Spirit so that you can act from the place of sovereignty.

Harmonizing Your Spirit-Mind Connection

 Harmonizing Your Spirit-Mind Connection  creates greater well-being in your life through communication between your spirit and mind.

In India, it is said that the spirit is a drop in the ocean of primal sound and light energy of divine love. When spirit enters mind, it enables thinking. When spirit enters emotion, it creates feelings. As spirit enters the physical body, you are then able to experience the material world around you.

Your daily life is an interplay between spirit and mind. Your experience through the lens of thoughts, feelings and physical responses that are translated through the relationship between spirit and mind within your own being. This relationship is essential to your sense of wellness and well-being.

The ancient Chinese describe this relationship with Yin and Yang principles. We live in a world of duality. Yin is the feminine aspect, associated with spirit, or inward-directed energy, while Yang is masculine, associated with mind, or outward directed energy. The other aspects of both Yin and Yang interact in ways that either create greater harmony or balance or signal the need for healing.

The place of healing emerges with the creative principle of unconditional love. Today, we know that New Physics gives name to this as the field of infinite possibilities. It is the source of everything that is beyond time and duality.

Because Resonance Repatterning® works on the mental, emotional, physical and spirit levels, and any time frame in their lives, including pre-natal, oftentimes there is a registered sense of feeling of separation from spirit or the entire ocean of divine love in the birth canal. When you resonate with separation from Source, it is difficult to find balance in the physical world especially amid seeming chaos and disorder.

In many personal and group sessions, the issue of feeling disconnected from Source or inner home within Self is present. The importance of being able to feel at home in your body relates directly to feel connected to nurture, direction and life purpose. In turn, this leads to greater resonance with nurture in relationship with others and the world.

Grounding in your body-mind system requires the intelligence that comes from this universal ocean of consciousness as well as what you have been learning in your life. Through dropping into this realization, and spending time with expansion of your experience through engaging the still place, you are able to deepen your ability to harmonize seeming opposites. In doing so, you are able to create harmony and balance between Yin and Yang, feminine and masculine, inner and outward directed energy, love and intolerance through blame or self-criticism, and allows you to move beyond the battle between them.

The Message from Anger: How to Create Greater Harmony and Balance from Its Seeds Group Repatterning

 

  How does anger fit into spring?  The Chinese Five Element and Meridian Wheel speaks to this time of year when there is new growth and possibilities.  What can keep you from resonating with these aspects within?  This can include anger, frustration, indecision, and inability to prioritize your actions.  To create the opportunity to experience the coherent aspects of spring related to optimism, focus, and new growth, it is important to heal the patterns of anger that keep this energy going.  The seeds you choose to plant with your thoughts, attitudes and actions make a difference in your wellness, relationships and well-being!

  One of my favorite quotes in grad school from a professor was, “Mental health is the ability to make things happen.”  If you feel stuck or unable to move out of frustration mode, please join us in The Message from Anger: Creating Harmony and Balance from Its Seeds Group Repatterning on April 29, 2017.

  As spring begins, maybe you, too, have found yourself in the garden. I have been anxiously planting seeds with hope for new growth and blooms. However, this process is not possible without first clearing old growth, roots, leaves and twigs from the garden bed. I’ve noticed also that there are choices about what stays in the beds as I plant particular flowers.

I notice the maple seeds that have transplanted themselves. Old roots still take up space from last year’s planting. Acknowledging this, there is still my underlying need to create a medicinal herb garden. With this discernment, I take out roots that will not replenish themselves and move the maple seeds into the woods. I acknowledge in the process that new soil, fertilizer and space are essential to this need for planting a medicinal herb garden paired with the external resource and support from sun light and warmth. I am very much aware that all of these things will benefit this garden and my need for it to nourish them for  blossom.

In the same way, your emotions are a garden of feelings based on attitudes, patterns, beliefs and way of seeing the world. They serve as signals that something within is needing to be heard. Like the maple seeds, underlying needs might need acknowledging or voicing themselves through whatever means they can. This is in an effort to create greater harmony and balance in your body-mind system.

The emotion of anger can be a powerful messenger, like a seed, for something speaking within you that you wish would resolve differently. Its roots can run deep and still be planted in your body-mind system garden bed from the past. These roots can take up space in your thinking and emotions, and limit your ability to free up vital energy to create new possibilities for what you would instead like to experience in your life. By holding onto the emotional frequency of these roots without positive action or change, you literally do not have room for new possibilities, or even the ability to consider other options.

The knowledge of the past stays with us. To let go is to release the images and emotions, the grudges and fears, the clingings and disappointments of the past that bind our spirit.” ~Jack Kornfield

When you become aware of the message from anger that points to an underlying unmet need, you then can create new space for finding ways to meet your underlying needs in your life today. This means that the seeds of your feelings can create a garden with greater harmony and balance.
